Statute

The region of Vysočina and the town of Telč are holding an international film festival on European art called Arts&film and they entrust AVANT Promotion s.r.o. with organising the Festival.

Main regulations

1.
The aim of Arts&film international festival is to share and search for creative ways for better understanding of European art and culture and to make available, concentrate and award prize to films/spots presentations covering the wide areas of all existing art disciplines, groups and sectors.

2.
All works of art with focus on European arts and culture can enter the competition: films, TV programmes,video programmes and DVD spots, including serials and theme-specific programmes of all existing genres, with the exception of full-length feature films and straightforward recordings of concerts and theatre performances, etc.

3.
Single-themed and retrospect screenings of art films, discussions and other accompanying activities are part of the Arts&film international festival.
4.
The official languages of the Festival are English, Czech / Slovak.

 

Film Participation


1.
Films, video programmes and TV programmes, video clips, spots of medium footage without any genre or type limitations, except for full-length feature films and recordings of theatre performances and concerts, can enter the international competition ( the optimal footage is up to 40 minutes - but this is not a condition for being included in the competition). There is no limit for the number of films that can be enrolled.

2.
Film participating in other festivals can also take part in Arts&film.

3.
Only the DVD cformat is accepted for the competition.

4.
Films and spots must be delivered to the address of the festival´s producer:

Deadline for applications to send is 7th May 2015.


International Competition


1.
The Selection Committee of the international competition of the Arts&film festival will make a short list for festival.

2.
The Selection Committee is entitled to reject a film / a spot / a presentation, which does not correspond to the mission of the Festival due to its poor technical quality or inadequate artistic and content rendition.

3.
The organiser will announce and an international jury will assess films/programmes, works, viedo clips, series, theme-specific programmes, etc., particularly taking into consideration the form of rendition and the emotional intensity of the message.This means that individuality, skills, originality and imagination will be appreciated. The jury will be noticing any attempts to overcome and go beyond stereotypes or established clichés as well as new forms of film interpretation. 
The jury will also take into account new opinions, views and intensifications of the historical and current labyrinths of Europe.


 

Personal participation


1.
Each participant covers all their travel and accommodation costs.

2.
All accredited participants can attend all the Festival events, including the accompanying activities, free of charge.

 

Basic Provisions


1.
All award-winning films will remain in the historical archive of Arts&film.

2.
Registering for participation in the Festival also means accepting these conditions and regulations.

3.
The text of these regulations is mandatory for the participants.

4.
The Festival Committee is authorised to make decisions on the programme of the Festival, its schedule and the order in which the spots, video clips, works, films etc, will be screened as well as on the exclusion of participants and their enrolled works if they breach these regulations and on any other matter not governed by these regulations.

5.
The region of Vysočina and the town of Telč are the promoters of the Festival and entrust AVANT Promotion s.r.o. with organising the Festival.
